CLIENT:
Fort Fit Kids
From a great idea to a ready-to-launch business.
Fort Fit Kids founders, Adam and Gillian, envisioned a fun and welcoming sports centre for kids aged 2 to 6, teaching confidence and skills using games, drills, and kid-sized sports equipment, all on an indoor field.
They had the vision, but no solid brand direction or foundation, so that’s where the OG team stepped in. We created a tangible design direction to suit a fun children’s sports centre, and then crafted all of the foundational elements, including a brand logo, website, and all of the marketing materials they would need to launch and market their business. And it doesn’t just look good. The website was created to make signing up a breeze, with an integrated registration tool.
Throughout the project we kept them in the loop, guiding them through a process that was brand new to them. We understand how intimidating launching a business can be without first rate project management. Thankfully, this is something that Original Ginger excels at!
It was a real pleasure working with Adam and Gillian, and OG is so proud to be their “go to” team of designers, content writers, and marketers on this new venture. In fact, one of the reasons they chose to work with us was our after-care services for small business owners. These include a membership area with video tutorials, as well as consulting, design and content services if they need help following their website launch. We’ve set them up for success, and will be there whenever they need us along the way.

Playful Design That Instils Confidence
Playful, fun, and professional. Fort Fit Kids wanted to make an eye-catching, memorable first impression with their branding, and stand out from their competitors.
First things first, we led them through our brand discovery process, asking about colours, shapes, and ideas that would best represent them. Then we translated that into branded colours that set the right tone, and designs that were approachable, friendly, professional, and would appeal to parents.
With fun athletic animal illustrations and cheerful colours, you can’t help but smile! And that’s how we want parents to feel as they sign their little ones up for classes.

Creative Solutions for E-commerce on a Budget.
Fort Fit Kids is all about FUN. We wanted that to shine through in their brand messaging tone, crafting web copy and class descriptions with a playful feel, while still hitting the mark on integrating basic SEO keywords. After all, to promote their products they need to be found!
Parents of toddlers are busy. They don’t have time to navigate a complicated registration process or convoluted website. We crafted the Fort Fit Kids site to easily facilitate registrations, with an E-commerce solution that didn’t break the bank. With our expertise, a basic, affordable E-commerce offering that is meant to sell standard products, was transformed into a registration portal for classes with the potential for recurring subscriptions – now that’s what we call E-commerce with a twist.
And on the admin side? We prompted our clients to think about how they could set up effective daily administration processes that would work hand-in-hand with their new online registration process.
We pride ourselves on being thorough, guiding clients every step of the way, and as first-time business owners, Fort Fit Kids founders Adam and Gillian were happy to put their trust in our expertise. Paying attention to detail means things don’t fall through the cracks, so we really make our clients think about “how” they are doing things – and possibly recommend better ways to do it. Their key takeaway from the project was that we thought of things they hadn’t, and that was a relief. In this way, our expertise throughout a project is invaluable.

Hitting it Out of the Park with Marketing Materials.
We started out with the usual marketing materials, like a one-sheet brochure and business cards, and feeling inspired, the client requested further collaboration on creative sports trading cards.
Important for every new business, we set up social channels for Fort Fit Kids and created personalized social media templates to elevate their graphics and brand awareness. These are files the client can use on their own to consistently brand social content, all sized properly for each social channel. We showed them how each social design tile could be used, and gave them access to video tutorials on how to adapt the tiles in free image editing software.
Next step? Launch! We advised them on creating a marketing strategy, sharing some email marketing business launch ideas they could use leading up to the official opening of Fort Fit Kids.
We can’t wait to see their business grow and thrive. Congrats, Adam and Gillian!
