Fort Langley Guest Suite
Web Design to Charm New Guests.
Since moving to Fort Langley 9 years ago, proprietors Lisa and Todd, always had the idea that they’d one day have their own Bed & Breakfast. They fell in love with the charm of Fort Langley and wanted to share it with others. So this past summer they finally launched their dream, the Fort Langley Guest Suite.
Located in Fort Langley, BC, the Fort Langley Guest Suite is a peaceful, tranquil Airbnb retreat, perfect for a couples’ romantic getaway, a pampered girls weekend away, or a corporate home away from home. Although bookings would ultimately be handled through Airbnb, they asked the Original Ginger Team to help them create a custom website that could be a place of welcome and an information hub for their guests.

A Charming Gateway to Branding.
When we work with a client to build a custom website, we focus on creating brand visuals and messaging that captures the authenticity of their brand. In this case, a full brand discovery uncovered the story behind the brand and served as inspiration for everything else.
Professional photography and styling of the ‘real life’ guest suite informed visual design and a soft feminine colour palette. Listening to their story gave us the rest of the ingredients we needed…
Creating a charming and memorable guest experience has been a thoughtful long term project for these two entrepreneurs. Cultivating a private and inviting cottage garden for guests to enjoy has been a labour of love since the beginning; two Peony bushes with thick ruffled blooms feature prominently in the garden plan in memory of beloved dogs, Kaiser and Ruby. These beautiful and fragrant flowers add a magical quality to the garden with obvious meaning to those who tend it.

Capturing the Urban Chic & Whimsy of Fort Langley.
As guests enter the garden area they pass through a custom made cottage gate adorned with a rustic rod iron medallion, found on a weekend foraging trip. You’ll see many such touches in the Guest Suite itself as well — interesting and whimsical ornaments, textiles, books and pictures found at local boutiques, gift stores, and antique curiosity shops.
It became our mission, at Original Ginger, to translate all these meaningful touches into a new brand logo, logo variations, and other marketing materials like print, responsive website design and a Guide to the local area. We just love the finished result. And now, the client can easily share information with their guests, from their blog.
