BUILDING A ROCK-SOLID WEBSITE FOR ROCKSCAPE ARTISANS.
Raincity Aquatic Designs specializes in elaborate faux rock designs for spas and pools, retaining walls and specialty animal habitats. Having worked with this client on two of their other businesses, they came to us with a common problem: Although they were sought after by many luxury homeowners and had an impressive portfolio of high-profile commercial projects, such as the faux rock retaining wall on Highway 1 in North Vancouver and the Penguin Exhibit at the Vancouver Aquarium, their online presence was lacking the same lustre as their work. They didn’t have much of a website or a logo and their existing portfolio images didn’t do justice to their beautiful craftsmanship.

BUILDING A ‘BOULDER’ WEB PRESENCE FOR THESE ROCKSCAPE ARTISTS.
Like many projects, the biggest challenge was getting these busy and hardworking guys to remove themselves from the job site long enough to make decisions about their website architecture and messaging. But we made it happen. The first thing we had to do was gain clarity about their unique brand. We started with a Brand Discovery Session. Then, we followed that with two days of on-site commercial photography, to build their portfolio with high res photos, which we would later use to craft their new website. It was a worthwhile investment for the client, since images are a big selling point in this industry. We also developed a logo concept that was such a big hit, we ended up creating at least three variations for their company trucks and vans.
Now, they have a standout logo, a polished, modern website, stunning photography to showcase their work and a bank of high res images that can be repurposed for vehicle wraps, marketing collateral, and exhibit booths. Another project successfully completed for a great bunch of guys.
